Data integrity specialist Precisely has unveiled a new, unified platform designed to streamline the transition of enterprise data into AI-ready assets. By integrating data management, quality, governance, and location intelligence into a single semantic foundation, the company aims to solve the persistent challenge of fragmented data residing across mainframes, on-premises systems, and modern cloud lakehouses.
The Precisely Platform represents a significant evolution for the company, which has a 58-year history rooted in mainframe data sorting and integration. Rather than forcing organizations to migrate vast repositories into a single ecosystem, the new platform provides a centralized management layer that operates where the data currently lives. This approach allows enterprises to maintain transactional workloads on legacy infrastructure while simultaneously unlocking that information for modern artificial intelligence models and autonomous agents.
According to Precisely Chief Product Officer Matt Waxman, the primary risk in the current AI landscape is the speed at which agents operate. Unlike human analysts, AI agents can execute decisions at scale, often acting upon flawed or unverified information before errors can be addressed. The platform is designed to provide the necessary visibility and evidentiary trails to ensure that data used by these agents is fit for purpose and compliant with organizational governance standards.
A core feature of the release is the adoption of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which allows Precisely’s suite to interface directly with popular AI clients such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT. By deploying MCP servers, Precisely enables AI assistants to interact with various components of its portfolio. For instance, users can trigger SAP automation workflows via Precisely Automate, perform natural-language searches across master data in Precisely EnterWorks, or utilize Precisely Trillium for real-time data cleansing and validation. These integrations ensure that the AI agents have access to the same governed business logic that the organization applies to its core operations.
To support developers in this transition, the company also launched Precisely AI Studio. This collection of ready-made apps, agents, and skills serves as a blueprint for building AI-powered offerings. By providing working examples of how to apply data quality and enrichment capabilities, the studio aims to reduce the time-to-market for enterprise AI projects, allowing builders to avoid starting from scratch.
The platform also leverages Precisely’s deep expertise in location intelligence and data enrichment. It includes hundreds of pre-linked datasets that allow AI models to interpret spatial relationships and business attributes. Through address verification and geocoding, the platform creates a machine-readable model of the world, enabling AI to make more informed decisions based on geographic context.
While the Precisely Platform is currently in a preview stage with a general release expected in early 2027, the Precisely AI Studio is available immediately. This rollout marks a strategic shift for the organization, emphasizing its transition from a pure-play mainframe connectivity provider to a comprehensive data integrity leader serving the modern, AI-driven enterprise.
