Unveiled at IFA 2026 in Berlin, the Circular Ring 3 series introduces hardware updates aimed at expanding utility beyond basic sleep tracking. Both the compact Ring 3 Slim and the feature-rich Ring 3 Pro incorporate NFC capabilities for contactless payments, alongside haptic alerts designed to deliver silent alarms and discreet notifications.
The devices track standard wellness metrics including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, daily activity, sleep architecture, and heart-rate variability. The companion iOS and Android app utilizes Kira, an AI health companion, to interpret wearer data and provide contextual wellness guidance.
While both models share core fitness capabilities, the Ring 3 Pro includes advanced sensors such as electrocardiogram recording for atrial fibrillation detection, which the company states has received FDA clearance. Additionally, the Pro variant introduces blood-pressure trend monitoring and non-invasive glucose insights, though Circular classifies these functions strictly as wellness indicators rather than diagnostic tools.
Circular claims that the new rings offer up to 12 days of battery life per charge, balancing continuous biometric monitoring with power efficiency. The choice between the Slim and Pro models ultimately depends on user preference for physical profile versus advanced diagnostic-grade sensor capabilities.
