Corero Network Security has introduced AI-Augmented Cloud-Assist for its SmartWall ONE platform, integrating cloud-delivered artificial intelligence analysis, threat intelligence, and policy optimization into its DDoS protection architecture.
The newly unveiled capability is designed to counter increasingly sophisticated, AI-driven cyberattack campaigns by identifying emerging attack behaviors and rapidly generating optimized protection policies. Organizations can choose to apply these AI-driven recommendations either manually or automatically within seconds, enhancing existing edge-mitigation defenses without sacrificing operational accuracy.
AI Cloud-Assist creates a continuous intelligence loop linking Corero’s cloud infrastructure with on-premises SmartWall ONE deployments. While artificial intelligence parses attack telemetry and formulates threat responses, the process is backed by oversight from Corero’s internal security experts, ensuring a balanced approach to modern threat management.
“Organizations depend on uninterrupted digital services to generate revenue, deliver customer experiences, and support critical operations,” said Carl Herberger, CEO at Corero Network Security.
“AI Cloud-Assist extends the power of SmartWall ONE, combining cloud-scale intelligence, human expertise, and edge-based mitigation to protect the services that matter most. This capability is largely missing in most DDoS solutions, and it is essential going forward. This is the future of DDoS protection.”
The integration targets high-performance environments including AI data centers, NeoCloud providers, telecommunications service providers, and digital enterprises. By combining cloud intelligence with edge-based mitigation, the offering delivers low-latency defense designed to protect critical workloads and network services against rapid volumetric and application-layer threats.
